About the Event

Rainbow Tot Shabbat offers a warm, inclusive space for families to connect to LGBTQ+ Jewish community, our calendar of holidays, and other parents of young children. Introduce your children to a vibrant and welcoming Jewish life full of joy, music, and pride. Drop-in for either or both halves of these two-part mornings: a hands-on creative Jewish holiday activity at 10:15 and a musical Tot Shabbat at 11:30. All are also welcome to join for kiddush lunch with the whole community at 12:30. Snacks include challah, fruit and grape juice and program is followed by an oneg (community meal). This month we are celebrating our Social Justice heroes and Tikkun Olam! 10:15: Hands-On Play – Featuring a scavenger hunt around the synagogue of LGBTQ social justice history and playroom with sensory bins & coloring. Chat with other parents while your kids play! 11:30: Tot Shabbat – Gathering for Shabbat songs and some social justice tunes! We know that mornings for kiddos 0-5 range in needs for sensory play, engagement and naps, which is why this is a totally drop-in event, come when you can, stay as long as you want, leave when you need to, and make some new friends. Did you know-- the CBST building has changing tables, diaper pails, an elevator, stroller parking, gender neutral bathrooms, and plenty of toys, books & crawl space!
