About the Event

The main mitzvah of Rosh HaShanah is to hear the sound of the shofar. Why do we blow 100 blasts? What animal horns are considered Kosher for a Shofar? What is the meaning behind the Tekiah, Shevarim, Truah? Most importantly, how do I blow the shofar? During this Greenpoint Youth program your child(ren) will learn about the shofar with Rabbi Rothstein, and practice blowing a real shofar with our Ba'al Tokeah, lead shofar blower, the Hon. Adam Perlmutter.
