About the Event

We are thrilled to launch Luria’s first ever “Caregiver and Me” program for our extended Brooklyn Community! Little Lions will meet in the Ring Community Center at Luria Academy on Tuesday mornings, welcoming children who are 6 months to 24 months with their caregivers for an interactive, musical, and fun class. The program will be led by a Luria educator and be taught in 8-week sessions for $240/session. On Friday mornings we will be hosting a community Tot Kabbalat Shabbat to give our littles a taste of that Shabbat feeling. This will be available free of charge with a suggested $18 donation per family. Little Lions are Caregiver-and Me classes are taught by Danielle Mussafi. Danielle holds a Masters of Early Childhood Education as well as certifications in Newborn Care and Kids Yoga and Mindfulness. She has taught preschool in Brooklyn for over ten years, including the past three as the Lead Teacher of Garinim here at Luria. She is so excited to return with these new Caregiver-and-Me offerings for the community! In the event Luria has to cancel a class, a makeup class will be offered on Makeup Monday. Little Lions Katan: We will open each class with an engaging song circle, using fun materials and finger games. After a strrrreeeeaaacch we will learn sign language and infant massage techniques. Each class will also provide an chance for caregivers to share. Little Lions Gadol: Children and their caregivers walk into a prepared environment where they are invited to engage in sensory play, art making, and Montessori work. There will be opportunities for cozy reading, tower building, and movement games. Each class will end with songs and a dance party! Little Lions Shabbat: Come join a rockin shabbat Zimriah! We'll dance shabbat dances, sing shabbat songs, and read shabbat stories.
