Together we’ll learn about Sigd, a special Ethiopian holiday that celebrates Torah, Israel, and community with music, dance, food, story, and other traditions!

For: Toddler (1-3 years), Preschool (3-5 years), K-2nd grade (5-7 years)

About the Event

ACTIVITIES:

Prepare dough for dabo, a traditional Ethopian bread eaten on Shabbat. Families can take their dough home to bake. Beading with the colors of Ethiopia—red, yellow, and green. Learn about traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremonies and create a coffee bean collage. Traditional Ethiopian stories, music, and dancing.

IMPORTANT HEALTH GUIDELINES:

This event will be held outside; masks are required for all including those who are vaccinated. Anyone 12 and older must provide proof of vaccination. In the event of poor weather, we will move our event indoors to the school gym.
