We invite all neighborhood families (ideal for kids 2-6 and their grown-ups) to join PJ Library in New York for a wild adventure with stories, animals, and art at the Prospect Park Zoo! Join us on this journey as we gather together, share stories, and explore animal behavior through interactive activities with a Jewish lens.
Program is free with zoo admission. Please register via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pj-library-goes-to-the-prospect-park-zoo-registration-51158941772. Zoo tickets may be purchased online or at the zoo gate. ($9.95 adults/ 6.95 kids 3-12/ 7.95 seniors/ FREE for kids under 3 and zoo members)
Here's how to find us: We'll begin our activities at 10:15 just inside the Children's Corner entrance to the zoo. (See red star on map!) Note that this is the stroller-friendly entrance from within Prospect Park; if you are coming from Flatbush Avenue, you may buy your tickets there and enter down the steps to meet us inside, OR walk around to enter the park by Lefferts Historic House and the Prospect Park Carousel. We'll be just inside the Children's Corner gate, to the right behind the ticket booth. If you have trouble locating us, text Beth at 917.993.0577 and we'll send you a dropped pin of where we are gathering.
We suggest you arrive at 10:00 (when the zoo opens) to purchase tickets, use the bathroom, and make your way to our meeting spot. We'll conclude our program after the sea lion training with a closing art activity. You're welcome to stay for lunch (bring a picnic or purchase pre-packaged food from the zoo's cafe) and the zoo's Boo at the Zoo festivities happening all afternoon -- or head home for a nap!
